“The Baltimore born, Philadelphia-based artist takes bold risks with his intricate experimental samplings in the track, yet he leaves plenty of room for you to bob your head, shake your hips, bounce, lean back, et al., and it will fit perfectly along the likes of Santigold, M.I.A., Deathgrips, and even Kendrick in your musical library.”
“Probably the record I’ve played the most in the last four months. I adore it! I wish I had 20 records like this.”
DJ TIGA ON “GULLY”
“Spank Rock doesn’t need an introduction. I am a huge fan of Boys Noize records and all Spank Rock releases are off all chainz. Personally, he’s my favorite rapper right now.”
MAMIKA MOTTO ON “12 O’CLOCK BOYS”
“Big drops, big bars and some big co-production from Boys Noize & Kid Kamillion. The two original tracks both focus on highly explosive drums and are likely to cause havoc in any club.”MIXMAG ON “GULLY”
An absolute banger featuring Amanda Blank. You already know the drill, the chemistry between the two is undeniable, and this is no exception.”COMPLEX ON “ASSASSIN FT. AMANDA BLANK”

“DJs Jubilee and Ayres recently wrote an article for THUMP discussing the legacy of internet forum the Hollerboard, and the gargantuan impact that it had, in its own way, on the sound of American commercial radio. There was one nice quote about Spank Rock that stuck out: ‘The Hollerboard community’s favorite act was Naeem Juwan, aka Spank Rock, whose style, sound, and backing production brought rap music to the club in a way that changed dance music forever.’
Spank Rock is still firing out humungous club rap tracks today, with one of his most recent being the Boys Noize and Kid Kamillion-produced Gully, and Boys Noize Records convinced accomplished Parisian selector and producer Brodinski to give it an either bigger club reworking. Not that he needed much convincing, admittedly. ‘I loved the original so much, it was difficult to do a better version,’ Brodi says in a press release, ‘But anyway, I did my best to transform the original into a warehouse techno tool.’” – Dummy Mag

“Baltimore Hero and Philly local MC Spank Rock has been a long time TIMESPENT favorite (8+ years). We first met Naeem when we interviewed him for the Baltimore publication The Lions Mansion. Two years later we crossed paths again in Bmore, his home town, at the Metro Gallery where he performed some new work. GULLY is out now, get ready for what’s to follow.”
